I’ve got to tell you about a really good place that is in the right place for us cyclist in the land of Corwin.

Today my wife I stopped into the Corwin Peddler. It is now open and under new management.  We found it to be a place to stop in and talk bike stuff over English tea or coffee. I met Simeon Copple, the owner, and got the nickel tour of the place. Simeon makes you feel like family. He knows what a cyclist is looking for in a rest stop. He has, what I would call, good old friendly English hospitality. It is setup to accommodate refreshments, lunch and dinner with a touch of English style. It is a very relaxing family atmosphere. The menu is well within our budget.  They have a pretzel w/cheese for $1.50, fruit for .25. and bottled juices.  They also have soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers very affordable. The best part for us is the English Favorites found in no other place other than the Corwin Peddler.  If you that like Young’s ice-cream, they also have it. We know that we will be stopping here in the future.

Simeon has really good introductory prices for rentals. Better yet, you get a discount for multiple rentals. Simeon even has bike essentials, tubes, air, and stuff you might need for the road.
For us DCC members Simeon is willing to help us out.

I know we will have a C&D at this place.

P.S. He even sells bikes at a discount prices.

....Because bike shaped objects can be just as ridable as a Cannondale.

69 Maple Street in what we call Corwin's bike path parking lot across from the restrooms. It really  is in Waynesville (according to the address). Makes for a great south ride from Xenia Station down through Spring Valley then Corwin. Some of us park at Corwin and either head up to Xenia or head further south. Makes for a great cool shady ride. On wet days like this day the wooden bridges south of Corwin are very, make that Very unsafe to ride over because they are slimy and have taken out a few of us cyclist this year. No bridges going north of Corwin to mess with until you go past Spring Valley.
The parking lot is a nice place park your steel cage.
